Discover one of Moldova’s most impressive medieval landmarks — Soroca Fortress, located on the banks of the Dniester River, approximately 160 km from Chișinău.
Built in the 15th century during the reign of Stephen the Great and later rebuilt in stone, the fortress played a crucial strategic role in defending Moldova’s borders against invasions. Its unique circular shape, massive towers, and well-preserved walls make it a remarkable example of medieval military architecture.
During the tour, you will explore the fortress, learn fascinating stories about its battles and legends, and enjoy spectacular views over the Dniester River and the city of Soroca.
